My interest in advertising and communications dates back to my years in high school when I was introduced to the fine arts via theater, choral music, journalism and entrepreneurship courses. Since then, my appreciation for art has expanded through my professional and personal life. I have narrowed my focus to the visual arts and how to best communicate through them.
While I began my undergraduate career in culinary arts, I learned to appreciate proper business communication and advertising through advanced business and entrepreneurship classes. Upon graduating from culinary school, I felt under utilized; I needed a career that enhanced of my strengths, challenged my creativity and developed my leadership.
Upon graduation, I applied to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to further my education with a degree in communications and advertising. I also began a freelance advertising business to develop my portfolio and offer my skills to local businesses and organizations interested in expanding their brand, social media outreach and creative visual print and media advertisements. Through this experience, I have built and designed several successful and intuitive websites, expanded on successful advertising campaigns, increased client reach and retention as well as improved business systems and daily activity.
